Happy Holiday Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Happy Holiday

Dictating with a supreme voice is the master of the season
The chill of December brings the year to a lamenting close
Santa Claus declares that it is the happiest time of the year
As you do your holiday shopping and a pestilent wind blows

Christmas lights waken the night… they are so bright
Noses redden as caroling fills the air with merry mirth
Fresh falling snow is dazzling like sweet sugar crystals
Cards are sent through the mail rejoicing Jesus’ birth

It’s a wonderful time for family and friends to gather
Sharing a valuable closeness that can not be bought
The warmth inside diminishes the howling bite of winter
The scent of pine boughs enhance each joyous thought
