Hard Enough - Poem by Luz Monroy

Hard enough to be held back
To never learn how to fly
Or to be the last one called for love

Hard enough to be told your nothing
That your opinion don't matter
to be said your no better

Hard enough to laugh last
Because your never there
Maybe never wanted

Hard enough to be make fun of
because your told who to be
and because your not free

Hard enough not to be yourself
To pretend on a smile
And hide the broken soul

But there is no harder thing
than to live in hell life
to be told lies
knowing how to fly
but not knowing how to spread your wings
And to fall
with no one there to pick you up
