He Thought - Poem by Mugdha Khedkar

Why did God think
we should all live
the lives we have got?
He thought
if we live, we could
know his love and
ask ourselves what
He must have thought...

What did He think
when he gave us parents?
Our angels..
He thought,
when we grow up
we become their parents
till He rings
their doorbells..

Why did He think
we should be able to love?
Each other as well..
He thought
he wasn't special
for our love to be only for him
he thought love for all
should in our spirit dwell...

Why did He think
days could be cloudy and sunny
periodically?
He thought
we should see how
clouds run away
to reveal sun rays
as they flee...

What did He think
when he taught us to talk
our heart out
He thought
we won't be confined
and let our emotions pour
not lock them in
in life's every bout..

Why did He think
spring should come after winter?
as Shelley says,
He thought
we could welcome joy
to our life
even after we cross
grief's huge maze..

What did He think
when he made us able to die
when our life went dim...
He thought
we could understand
his message
and treat our life
as precious as him..

He thought...
He thought about everything...
