Headlines Of A City - Poem by Ryan Arthur Walker
I have lost, something you can not lose.
I have seen, the unseen.
I have willed, the unwilling.
I have Killed those who are already dead.
Was it all for nothing?
Was my time worth it?
As i stepped on the street
I had noticed that everything was
not in its normal proportions.
I saw a lamp post, as fat as a Redwood.
I saw a talking women who seemed flat as a fence.
Was it here where I lost my bearing?
I am most positive that the news headlines are
not this vivid in your city. We here know how to make a story.
