"Heap Cassia, Sandal-Buds And Stripes" Comments

Rating: 2.8

Heap cassia, sandal-buds and stripes
Of labdanum, and aloe-balls,
Smeared with dull nard an Indian wipes
From out her hair: such balsam falls

Robert Browning

Wonderful depiction of the beauty of the dead queen at her prime! Perfumed cassia sandal buds mouldering her lute and books... great sketch of the beautiful portrait of the queen with its compactness!
