Heat-Stroke, Euphorest Fire, Pt.2 - Poem by Nicole D'Settemi

You're like 100-degree weather
That kind of scorch
Eyeballed you and hollered
From my street-queen porch
Stuck my hand out
Even though I knew the burn
Stuck my other, gave it it's due to turn
You lifted those hands
Held them shockingly gently
Until I was the one exhausted
Water down mentally
I was too busy stroking you
To ever, really, have a fucking clue.
