Her Great Adventure Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

Her Great Adventure

Rating: 5.0

She said it would be her greatest adventure yet
She bore the anguish and suffering meant to get
Her to the dock of her departure
To her place on an unknown beyond shore,
I sat beside her while she quietly suffered without
A word of complaint until she slowly drifted away
With a long lumbering sigh.
Her great adventure was to die.
