Josefine Carrion

Rookie (December 25 / New York)

Here - Poem by Josefine Carrion

the dawn comes and goes
the hours stand still
the ache is as strong
and yet, you are not here.

the one, my only one
the ray that guided me
the darkness, how it falls
again, you are not here.

the memories live on
the only link to you
the reason I still wait
and, oh, you are not here.

the love that once was
the joy you once brought
the smile will return
for that you will find me
