Hide And Seek - Poem by Geoffrey Flores

Hide and seek
fun for all
chasing around
never finding me

I call out
to stay hidden
wanting to be found
ready to run

I can feel her
getting closer
my heart is racing
my breath hastening

I start to run
just like the other times
wanting to be chased
scared to be caught

Now I am it
and I must seek her
her racing heart
her hastend breath

Will she run?
is she wanting
to be chased?
to be caught?

I start to seek
just like the other times
wanting to chase
scared to catch her

My heart racing
and breatch hastend
looking for someone
that I might not find

Hide and seek
fun for all
chasing around
hoping to find you
