Honeysuckle And Roses: A Love Song For My Tommi - Poem by Susaunna Maria Di Cicci
Honeysuckle and roses are the scent of my lover.
Gentle, as the evening breezes in Spring, are his kisses on my neck.
Like butterflies in my garden, my heart flutters at his touch.
When his eyes meet mine, a thousand words go up unspoken,
as though we're in a country church.
Soft and tender, as a prayer, are his words of love and praise.
When he enters into me, his love bares me no sin nor shame.
Each day is like our wedding morn. Each night I'm filled with bliss.
Someday I'll lay beside him in the earth, forever still and calm.
Until that day's upon us, may we truly LIVE - as ONE.
