Hope Within - Poem by Barry Conway

HOPE WITHIN

I THINK I WOULD LIKE TO BE SPIRITUAL,
THERE ARE GLIMPSES,
THAT WING PASS MY EYES,
PRISMS OF THOUGHT AND CLARITY,
THAT FLASH TEASINGLY,
BOTH WITHOUT AND WITHIN.
I SEE THE HOPE IN OTHERS,
FEEL THEIR CONTENTMENT,
IN THE READINESS,
TO SHARE THEIR BOUNTY.

HOW CAN THE SAME QUESTION,
HAVE SO MANY ANSWERS?
SURELY ARE WE NOT ALL THE SAME?
ARE NOT THE ANSWERS WITHIN US?
IF NOT!
THEN DO THE QUESTIONS,
BECOME IRRELEVANT?

SO MANY FEEL IT AROUND THEM,
LOOK INSIDE!

Topic(s) of this poem: answers, divinity, hope, spirituality
