House Poem by Bilal Raja

House

I’m status-less, I’m in no state to state on
Stay awake and wait, fate is straight on
Moons and stars, the skies to hate on
Destiny is fake, only Taurus to take on

The glare from a light that’s too bright
Locked in a room where the walls are too white
Cramped in a bed, in my head is the Sprite
“Have another beer, what’s another Vic? ”

Desperate case, graced with electric taste
Placed in a hectic space, pathetic waste
Faced with empty crates and dirty plates
But embraced this life with all its traits

All the rhythm and rhyme has died
Confide in strangers, no crime to hide
Broken, empty words to fill lines reside
Tried being perfect but my mind is tired
