How Love Changes - Poem by Elizabeth Aguilar Alvarez

I learned a lesson
About how not to Love
Because if you do
The only thing that awaits is
Pain and Sorrow.
Love is like an illusion,
Overwhelming and Fleeting;
Never staying yet never leaving.
What may seem as Love one day
May be hatred another.
Love never seems to last
And it probably never will,
Might as well give up
And move on.
