Hurting Memories - Poem by Jana Courville

looking around this dingy cold building
I'm seeing what I missed before
all the cracks, the lies, the dirt
and all its caused has been pain and hurt
sorrowful memories coming up to bloom
and all they bring me of my past
is great doom
the tears once shed
dropp out again once more
the guilt and pain once their
cut through me again
for this place I once loved
is still hurting me so bad
cutting through me like a razor blade
the memories collide
that dingy cold building
is now my whole life
