I Care Deeply - Poem by Michael P. McParland
I care for you so deeply more than you can ever know,
my heart begins to hurt in loving joy whenever I think of you.
When apart like this I feel as if I'm coming apart
and don't have a clue of what to do.
Everybody has some advice but I don't care because
I love you more than anything and can't move on when
I know you love me too.
I care deeply my only one and you don't
have to believe me but it's true.
I care so deeply that in all the time after high school
and up to when we restablished contact I couldn't
look at other women the whole time I saved myself for you.
Just one slip up in that entire time and I want to take it back,
I want to give you all of my life and myself because
you're the one I love and care about.
You are my Angel and my Queen and that's a solid fact.
I've made mistakes a plenty and I can't forgive myself for any,
because I care for you in every way and to see you hurt
kills me inside and every way.
I know there are many things that have hurt you in the past
I want to help you heal from those so please stop pushing me away.
I want to hold you close and let you laugh and cry,
I want you to release it all because
I care about my Angel Queen and only one.
I care so much I worry constantly,
where ever I am I stop and think of how I wish you were there.
I care so much and love you deeper still.
You are my everything and I care so much and
more than you can possibly know.
