a time i thought 'i hate him'
and yet its something different
...

i met you one day at work
i thought for sure it was love
we dated for quite a while
and all i did was smile
...

have you ever felt the ocean breeze?
or had sand run through your fingers?
ever lay your head on the softest of bass?
or rap your hand around the hardness of shells?
...

I was thinking of you today
And so I started to pray
I just had to thank the Lord
For giving you to me
...

Did you ever stop to wonder
What this world is all about
Did you ever stop to wonder
If there is a God up there
...

I feel like a puppy
that nobody wants
when i come near my mother's favorite
she growls until i'm gone
...

so, you showed me that you love me
you proved it yesterday
and yet i did the same
i dont think you feel that way
