I Dream Of You - Poem by Tamara Moir

Gazing into a ardent sunset as it
welcomes the crystal moonlit night, for
my blanket of comfort comes when
I close my eyes drifting off, as I
sleep peacefully, captivating with
dreams of you,
For I feel secure as your subsistence
flows through the depths of my soul
as I breathe the charisma of your
cologne upon the softness of your
skin it's as though you'd never left
to walk upon a distance land a world
apart for your journey unknown
I keep you in my prayers and happy
thoughts, to keep you safe upon
your safe arrival home in the
land of a free nation for you are my
missing piece of my beating heart, my completeness within
