I Have Done So Much/And It Amounts To So Little

Rating: 5.0

I have done so much
And it amounts to so little
I add and add
And each work added
Does not increase the sum
Zero plus one is zero
Again and again-

Sometimes I think
I can laugh at myself
It's only another irony
But there are other times
When deep inside the grief and sadness
Say my true feeling is failure and regret-

Write on old guy
Soon you will not even have to add one after one
The sum will still be zero.

There is no such thing as failure. To change your outlook to one of optimism, may I respectfully suggest that you read EMMANUEL'S BOOK by Pat Rodegast and Judith Stanton. I would love to receive your feedback on it. Take care.

Lol. Good poem. I am sorry things aint working out for you. The first thing you need to do is to learn to add. One plus zero equals one. I joke. That was awesome metaphor
