I Let You Go



O Bird of my dreams
I have caged you
in the walls of my heart,
wanting to win you.
But your eyes wander
never meeting mine.
And your wings flutter
for the warmth of sunshine.
So holding inside my pain
I let you go...
And open the door
for you to soar
