I'M Done With You - Poem by Sarah Marie

I tried for you
I risked my life
And this is what I get!

Your backtalk
Your fake apologizes
You don’t even care!

I speak for all those woman
Who put up with you
That we are done!

If you cannot give me my respect
And the love I deserve
I’m done being your maid!

You can do your own dishes
And do your laundry
Because that is not why I was here

I’m a porcelain glass
High above the ground
Waiting to be dropped

I am a fish
Hiding from the shark
Avoiding getting eaten

A woman
Being took advantage of
Knowing she is to small to stand up for herself

But not me
I will not take it
So back away

Or you will see the power us women do have
then you will see who is so tough then.
