I'm Sorry If - Poem by Orlando Belo
I'm Sorry If
You overheard our whispers of tease and seduction,
and our love play throughout its long introduction?
Our deep heavy breathing and thumping hearts,
the noisy bedsprings, the stops, and starts?
The ecstatic sounds of our love and passion,
and the to and fro of our interaction.
I'm sorry if
We kept you awake throughout our night of love,
and hope you slept soundly until the coo of the dove.
