I Think I Could Like You - Poem by Dakota Ellerton

If my heart were a bird
you'd make it sing
caged and prisioned
to freedom I'd cling

when we lay together
my head on your chest
my heart starts to throb
this pain I know best

you will lie and leave
just like them all
I'll fall to my knees
a crumbling wall

I will fall for you completley
head over heels
you've gotten my attention
my time you did steal

I think I really care for you
but I couldnt possibley be sure
I think Id want to be with you
but I fear I will get hurt

You're actually pretty cute you know
the way you look so sad
the way you throw a tantrum
when you're never really mad

the way you tell me to come cuddle up
and the way you half ass a smile
I love the terrible jokes you tell
this feeling lasts awhile

I think I could really care for you
I think it might be true
I think Id like to see you more
I think I really like you
