I Will Never Cry Over A Boy

I won't cry over you
When you stand me up
to play silly games
with your silly friends.
There will be no tears meandering down my cheeks
when your christmas gift sits waiting in my wardrobe
and I sit here waiting for the doorbell to ring
Because I kept the receipts.

I can buy myself a something pretty with the money.

And tonight will listen to my new CD
Have a bubble bath
Snuggle up in my dressing gown
I will eat all of your chocolates
Even when I'm full
I will keep on eating
because I know you don't like 'fat' girls

And tomorrow when you want to see me
I will go out with my girlfriends
Because they are worth more to me
than those boys before
and those boys who will come after you.

I will not waste my time crying over boys
I will go to law school instead.
And maybe one day meet a man who is worthy of my time
and my chocolates
but until then
I'll enjoy them all by myself
