I Wish I Could Help - Poem by Mugdha Khedkar

You stand there with your arms outstretched,
Crying, drowning in your own blood,
O Nature, I wish I could help.

As time passes, you lie in the worst of your health,
Hoping for someone to care,
I wish I could help.

As your time draws near, you utter a feeble yelp,
It's inaudible or ignored, I fear the latter
I wish I could help.

You're still not dead, let your hope not melt,
Some souls still exist who,
Wish they could help.

If we lose you, we lose most of our wealth,
Reckless, selfish devils don't realize this,
If they would, they would help.

Curse them all, send them to hell,
O Lord, before it is too late,
Give me the power to help.
