If Poem by Quincy Moses

If

If only we could see the tribulations of life
Then maybe we would not forget to fight and strive for our goals
If we had powers to make things happen
If we could see that in us lies the fault
If we think straight even during rainy times
If we didn't care about each other
If there was no law
If everyone were rich
If we stand up to our duties
Not everyone would wash the dishes
If we decide that our country would not fall
Sure we can make this a better country
If we stop being sarcastic
And put on the lipstick of truth
If we uproot the evil in our minds
We are one step in making this country a better place
But let's not forget that
We the citizens are responsible for the nations down fall
If humanity never existed
Why did God create man without using tan
If, if, if runs through everyone's mind.
