If I Had - Poem by Carly Stanley
If I had one more day with you.
We would sit together and talk about the crazy things we did.
I would touch your face and stare into those lost eyes.
Hug and hold you close.
I would get inside your heart and show you just how much I cared.
I would walk with you and tell you how much I missed you.
One more day is all I want.
A chance to say what is really on my mind.
Ask you why you didn't want to stay.
Just need one more day.
To finally, say good-bye
Suicide may have taken your body, but it cannot talk your spirit.
