Ill Wind And Me

Sometimes ill wind blows my way, it seems
To cast opaque shadows o'er all my dreams
Sending my spirits downward soaring

    I esp. enjoyed these words:

    " ...........here in the depths
My soul despite its dreary drift is not bereft
Of hope that I shall rise and soar
And know the ecstasy of living once more." good luck!

Lift your spirits with Kentucky moonshine.
A jug or two and you'll soon be fine....or dead!

The ill wind of life, you put it very well. I think everyone knows that feeling.5 *

A well expressed, meaningful poem, with a pleasing rhyme. Wonderfully well done.

I have had to contend with many ill winds blowing in my life. Eventually, though not always, the wind dies down. The pairs of rhymes fit the poem's theme well.
