Ilyabrodsky Nr.1 - Poem by stephanie marie baquet

what i don't know about you
beyond the rasp of a cigarette voice
bursts of air
vibrating contained emission
though mouth, tongue and teeth
weaves of words
tempered lips telling tales of miles
miles of tales
stylish and swift
unable to keep up with
the eyes
so deep brown and talkative
open yet elusive
like portals

what i don't know
but have admired
that is
a singular ring clutching a singular finger
a beautiful one, that ring
i ponder its origins
and the feeling of
its cool yet tumecent silver and
its weight
and i wonder if
you are as of yet
