Im Not Just A Picture In A Book - Poem by Audrey Marie Kay

I guess you think im hot huh.
I guess you like my body huh?
Why dont you look up here
You dont have to stare
I know you think im kickin
Its just to bad your caught
I guess you think im pretty huh
I guess you like my lips huh
Why dont you hear me speak?
You just stare and look weak
I know you think im hot
But my words are even hotter
If my words caught on fire
You wouldnt notice
I guess you like my butt huh
I guess its just my luck huh
Some say i was born with a gift
I think its a curse
All they do is look at my body
My hair, my eyes,
wondering if im naughty
They never hear my words
or see my logic
Its just too bad..
I should be stuck in a closet
Maybe then if i talked through a door
Then their eyes couldnt stare or explore
and they might actually see who i was
with out the boobs or the cute butt
I just want to get rid of this curse
Most say it was luck but i think it sucks
I was born into a world of boys
all they want are little sex toys
Do they even look into my eyes when i speak
or is that a joke too..
It just shows me that they are weak
Look at me when i talk to you
Im tired of being looked through
Im not just a page of a pornography book
I can speak you know
I feel them stare at me and im shook
Im not just for show
Im not a picture in a book
