Immortality - Poem by George Kassabgi

Before one can contemplate the immortal
One might consider the realistic states of
Mortal existence

Biological immortality
Baby gazing back affectionately
Human race continued

Immortal achievement
A faint scribble in the records
It makes note

The immortality of truth
Discoverer never fully aware of what has been revealed
As man learns

The immortality of imagination
Work of art unveiled, traveling effortlessly through time
A love unbound

Such is the nature of immortality
To a great many, such a topic
Is immaterial
