In Hiding - Poem by katie blake

Clear and blue
The sky above me

Luscious green
Elm trees surround me

Still and silent
The lake below me

A sight
Rarely seen

But under all that beauty
There lay a deadly trap

The shy holds
The envy
Of the angels

The trees have
A horrible secret

And the lake
Is a graveyard
For empty souls

    Everywhere is His home
    And He resides in beauty.
