In Love - Poem by Peggy Dotson

i am in love with a man
who don't belongs to me
is it posible in this town
for me to be happy

i love it when he comes by
or even just call
i'm excited at even being in
his thoughs at all.

for something that wasn't meant to be
this thing we have has changed me
changed my mind and my outlook on life
he has changed the way i think about everything

i can't even get mad at him
for not calling me all week
but when he shows up after work
looking sexy in those clothes i can't speak

he has this hold on me
and he doesn't know it
but if this thing works out
he don't have to ask how much i love him
i'll just show it
