In Quest Of Warmth! Poem by Rimni chakravarty

In Quest Of Warmth!

Rating: 4.1

It is cold
I am unable to hold
Myself from seeking warmth
I seek for the woolen clothes
I seek fire to protect myself from the hard blows
Of the winter
Spring is very far
What do I do?
I can lament of no use
Coz the chill is sure to last and this is true
Can one change the season
It will play though you have many a reason
To go for a change
You cannot for long or short range
Nature is there to take its course
Humans can never succeed though apply the force

I can only seek comfort by keeping pace with season
I stand by the gas oven with one reason
To be in my comfort zone
I smile to stand alone.

Nature is there to take its course..a realization of the limits of man. We can all relate to the uncomfortable feeling that cold causes. A good read.

You capture the desolation of the season well, the power of its brooding presence always lurks, while it is one of my favorite seasons, I see it through our eyes, its merciless sadness. Wonderful poem!

I really liked your poem, it has certainly got me thinking of something I've never given thought too. It's hardly surprising it was chosen as poem of the day. Well done!
