In The Dark Poem by Yasmin Khodaie

In The Dark

As I lay here in the dark,
With no where for me to turn,
I lay against a trees cold bark,
Saying to myself, ‘next time I will learn’,

I should have known right from the start,
That it was too good to be true,
Because at the end you broke my heart,
It cracked and snapped in two,

You told me that I was the only one,
You told me that you cared,
You said in your heart I’ll always belong,
This was the love we once shared,

All the pain that I feel,
I can’t bare to explain,
I don’t think you would find it a big deal,
But it’s driving me insane,

As I lay here in the dark,
With only you in my head,
I lay against a trees cold bark,
When you find me I will officially be dead
