from 'Dreams and Visions'
Free of the usual—
what it requires
of my mind and body—
there are moments
in a state
that's in between
where I hover landscape
waiting dawn
to show its features
tread water strangely calm
until I see the way
to swim again.
And I can only hover, only tread—
for there is nothing I can do
no forcing of the future
my heart seeks.
thank you, akhtar. i was able, in this one, to give some idea of that feeling i have in this in-between time of year. peace. -glen
Glen, this is truly great to see you blessed as the poet of the day. What a rewarding way to end the year and begin the new year as well, with a fresh incentive. God bless you with many, many more beautiful poems.
thank you, geeta. and may you have a blessed year writing as well. i referred to you bipasha who commented below. as one who mentioned gandhi in her bio i thought she'd appreciate your poems about him. -glen
Hauntingly beautiful. Eerie. Mystical. Thought-provoking. A profoundly philosophical and spiritual poem. Truly worthy of Poem Of The Day! Congratulations, Glen!
