In Weary Waking Moments - Poem by Zoe SEM

In weary waking moments
This greeting of the dawn
I pray to find you sleeping
A heartbreak now you’re gone

I truly cannot fathom
Why the absence pains me so
Here amid this morning
This beating heart of woe

For darkness brings the hope
In the willows dance of dreams
Mystical yet tragic
The possibility still gleams
