With all the tears you have cried
and the battles you have fought.
The heartbreak you have suffered
and the wisdom you have been taught.

Days will be harder
where it is not worth a try.
Do not give up hope
Just hold your head up high.

You speak, but no one listens.
You suffer but no one cares.
You have to fight alone in the world
when you need someone they will not be there.

Just hold your head high
and you will have sense.
Follow your heart and intuition
That is independence.
