Infatuation? ... Like? ...Relationship? ...Love? ... Poem by Nanette Elefante

Infatuation? ... Like? ...Relationship? ...Love? ...

Those words confuse me, I thought I knew what they meant;
Till I lose and won some and the one today is for rent.
A night, a week, a month or a year of misery;
Distinguish how extreme my feelings for you lead me..

Those simple words I knew so well...The meaning I wish for you to know.
Liking to loving someone is matchless...so I will utter it to you really slow...
It’s like missing you in the dessert storm, or a cold night with the noisy construction…
Ahhhh...red wine, I need more wine; to make me sleep and not to remember you…

Those are words needs to convey million feelings...
Hopes...Dreams that trilled us into great amusement...
like teenagers writing love letters; chasing the boy bands with laughter...
or an old couple in the sunset beach, holding hands together...
What a sweet surrender that I ought to feel to make me better...

Those are the words that you must understand. I whisper them to your heart and mind.
You might look or turn back at me…one thing for sure; you will lead me into my own infidelity…
