    I really like this one. The metaphors were fabulous, I liked the fact that you kept them connected. The sea, old ships, a rotting dock, and flowing water. And even the ones that didn't pertain to water were realllly good
    Dead thorns given life by a witch,
    coming out of the painful past,
    stab me as I sit in disbelief and twitch,
    and I know I'll die fast.

    That and the first stanza I think are my favorite.
    Nice Job!

    Also, I especially enjoyed where feeling and fact crossed paths in this poem when you stated: old actions can haunt you, until they're all you do. Just can't get enough of this one. I had to comment twice. I think this just made number 5 on my list, lol. But forreal though. (Report)Reply

    I try to put it out,
    but it rises like the sea.
    I'm full of doubt;
    Is this all I'll ever be?
    am I a true liar?
    Dead thorns given life by a witch,
    coming out of the painful past,
    stab me as I sit in disbelief and twitch,
    and I know I'll die fast.
    Old actions can haunt you,
    until they're all you do.
    Those are some of my favorite lines. You're writing is always truely breathtaking, so this poem was no exception. I especially like the overall feeling of questioning yourself in this one.
