Isolation Poem by Marilyn Lott

Isolation

It is not such a new experience
For my husband, Randy and me
We are always rather isolated
In our lives quite naturally.

Oh sure we visit family
From time to time it's true
But except for vacations
Being isolated isn't really new.

But I know for some folks
This experience is kind of hard
Just staying inside their homes
Perhaps going out in the yard.

Kids are out of school for now
Can't go to work for many
So you are all grouped together
For some families it is uncanny.

If you feel you are completely alone
My friend, you really are not
God is by your side at all times
He puts you in a special slot

But stay away from others, please
Even though it might not be fun
But keeping from getting sick
Is worth a while in isolation!

please ask/tell 'God' to take the virus and isolation away! She (God) must be good for somethin'.

We always have the company of God and hopefully he will answer our prayers. A nice piece of poetry portraying the times that we are all facing.

Remaining in isolation was not new for you but the time has come to keep self in isolation. All are in quarantine. All need a safer life. This poem is very brilliantly penned from your own perception.
