It - Poem by Laura Dunne

When I was a girl i said
when i fall in love
the fireworks will explode
and those sparks will fly
and it will be love
it will be great
i never thought it'd happen so soon

then i saw you
and i knew
it was you
you were it
it was love
and love was now

you walked into my life
and though i pushed you away
like a dog you came back to play
so i gave you a chance and thought
maybe this is love
will it be great
is it really happening so soon?

but i saw you
and i knew
it was you
you were it
it was love
and love is now

i can't wait to tell you
how i've felt so long
and i'm hoping
that you hear my song

cuz i saw you
and i knew
it was you
you were it
it was love
and love is now

love is now...
now and forever
