Prince Daniel

It - Poem by Prince Daniel

You know what you want
You know what makes you content
You go after it
Even when its in the dark
You know at the end you will see it in the light
You know it will shine bright
Or do you?

You put your all in it
You give your heart and soul to it
You don't care if its right
You don't care if its wrong
You feel like you need it
Your feelings are incredibly strong for it
You know you love it

You make all the necessary sacrifices
Never realizing your rolling dice
You may get it
You may not
You don’t want to fail
You go after it with every muscle
In your aching body

It unvails right infront of your face
Then it is abruptly taken away
It is thrown far off into space
How do you get what you want
When its so far away
It seems it can never be attained
With each passing day

Then you end up with what you started
Nothing
Desiring what you so badly want
But your standing alone
You just stare into a a place of no return
You’re just realizing
You’re internally crying
