It’s All Right… - Poem by Anthony Cuellar

When we hug, everything is all right,
Snuggled together as one, clutching on tight.
Squeezing firmly that which we know is right.
As she gazes at me Her eyes glow bright
I feel so safe; all stand before my might,
For when I have her, I fear not any fight.
Shes string in my hand, my highflying kite.
Together we ascend, towards the light.
The clouds part, our happiness just in sight.
Until we speak, then quarrel, that’s our plight.
Words of anger end our euphoric flight
We descend from our most dazzling height.
Plunging downwards, it is gods sick delight.
Slipping into shadows of dismal night,
I know then, all will never be all right.
