Jealous - Poem by Anna Dietze

Jealousy sets in
I want to get out
Get away
You’ve known her forever
Maybe you two belong together
I don’t know
She’s prettier than me
Don’t say she’s not
Ask anyone
She knows more about you than I do
Your best friend
I can’t tell you how weird it felt
But it was
She’s back and I feel like you’re off in a different world
Taking trips down memory lane
Without me
I just don’t wanna be left behind
Especially if I’m stuck at my house
And you’re spending all your time with her
And not me

Anna, so often insecurity leads to jealousy and you've touched on those issues quite effectively. Really well done! !

I think we all go through these feelings of insecurity sometimes, Anna. Right now I feel the same as the words in this poem but I know if I think about it logically the feelings abate, because it isn't really like that, its just the way we view things sometimes. Nicely written and described.

    Love, Fran xx
