Jonah Bologna (Limerick) - Poem by Kelly Kurt

If I had to live inside a fish
And the big guy granted me one wish
I would ask of the boss
A jar of tartar sauce
Cause I'd bring my own fork and a dish

Very good, and funny. Although, eating your way out does seem a little fishy! ! ! (Report) Reply

I enjoyed the wit of this piece, that is, Wit = intelligence + humor. Both are displayed in the expert rhyme scheme and the clever tone of ordinary reality in the context of something monstrous, that is, the speaker is concerned about tartar sauce and forks when he's alive inside a fish! I can not imagine myself in the position of Ionas. (Report) Reply

It is exceedingly difficult to imagine being a fictitious person in an impossible situation.
