Judgmental - Poem by Emma Elkwood

I know you're afraid of me
Yet I know you care
Yet I know you love
So why don't you tell me so?

If you're afraid of losing me,
Shed your worried skin,
Because I would never
Walk away from you!

Speak up!
Don't be afraid!
Don't be ashamed!
I'm not one to be judgmental.

I long to hear you say it.
Just say it!
You know you want to
Tell me how you really feel.

Yet I'm afraid.
What if they lied to me?
What if they laughed at me?
What if it isn't so?

If I'm afraid of losing you,
I must stand tall,
Because you would never
Abandon me!

Speak up!
Don't be afraid!
Don't be ashamed!
I'm not one to be judgmental.

I long to hear you say it.
Just say it!
You know you want to
Tell me how you really feel.

But if they speak truth,
If it's all real,
Tell it like it is
And tell me you love me!

So speak up.
Don't be afraid.
Don't be ashamed.
I'm not one to be judgmental.
