Just As I’d Want You To - Poem by kevin noll

If I made the first move,
would you pull away?
Or, would you draw closer?
Just as I’d want you to.

If I tried to hold your hand,
would you whisk it away?
Denying me a moment of heaven.
Or, would you grasp my hand in return?
Just as I’d want you to.

If I leaned forward to kiss you,
would you pull away?
Or, would you welcome my lips with open arms?
Just as I’d want you to.

If I asked you to be mine,
my valentine, my Juliet.
Would you say no,
and break my heart?
Or, would you say yes?
Just as I’d want you to.
