Just For The Enjoyment Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Just For The Enjoyment

A child will destroy a gift of a toy.
Just for the attention.
Of doing this gets.
With it given.
And that same child will grow,
To know an ego out of control.
No one can fix.
Until that 'adult' gets what is wished.
No matter how annoyed,
And unbearable it is...
For those giving attention.
Known to them too,
Accustom is this 'child' to prove...
Destroying anything they can and will do.
If not given what he or she demands.
Whenever they wish.
Or will unleash a havoc of grief.
Just for the enjoyment of it.
