Lacey Nightmare

Just Me - Poem by Lacey Nightmare

A glance is all they take
Their favorite word is 'Disgrace'
An ugly, selfish, cynical girl
Only here to destroy the world
If only they could see
Every bit of me
I bet they would reconsider
And take back all the bitter
Underneath my clothes
Past my natural dark eyes
On days when im stretching my wings
And let my mind fly
I let my uniqueness show
At times im sad, mostly mad
But when night falls
My mood beholds
A most caring person
With dreams so high
You'll see me running
With the ghouls
You'll see me dancing
In the crimson rain
But i have feelings
I have ideas and thoughts
Inside me is different
Than what you look at
Too bad they dont give me a chance
If it is a lonely life i have to look back upon
Then i'll be happy
Because i know i was completely Me
And no one else
