Just To Feel - Poem by Nicole D'Settemi

Just to feel... That is what we 'call it'-
If I could steal...One moment-or maybe just pause it.
If I could taste
Life on my own terms
If I could teach something
That I myself didn't need to learn...

Mindless banter
So YOU make all the choices?
It's like a CRACK to the CRANIUM

I just want to scream right out loud
I dream to just snatch
One person standing out from the crowd

Violently ANGRY!
Filled with this rage
Suffocating and BEATEN
Locked in societie's cage

Does anybody even know-
What the hell* is up with this place?
The thoughts and the visions
I just dream to erase.

Voices like nails
Scratching down a board
I just want to scream
And, to fight and be gored!

I'd rather just die
A violent bloody death
Over staying in this place
Faced with what's left

Their evil, their clueless
They drive me insane!
They cut and they slice
And, finally I die in vain!

Beautifully hacked-
The most beautiful
Work of Art
And, your soul it was mine-
Right from the start!

A Perfectly sculpted
Vision of the reaper
The story unfolds
As I fall even deeper

And, on goes the battle
Of this epic war!
Taken to the limit

The battle is HERE
It's been brought, fought, and done
It was truly a fight
That could NEVER BE WON!

So the ending began
And, the beginning did end.
How much time did we waste?
How much time did we spend?

It doesn't matter
As now, I say goodbye
I fall to the ground
With one final sigh...

I bid my farewells
As I kiss the cheek of this earth
To continue with this life-
No, I couldn't see the worth.

No rhyme and no reason,
This chapter is closed.
The soul it has withered-
As the scars are exposed.
